PURPOSE:To efficiently purify harmful gas, by increasing the oxygen concentration in exhaust gas without decreasing the temperature in a combustion furnace, by providing secondary air introducing ports to a gas passage which sucks exhaust gas into a catalyst tank from the exhaust vent of a furnace. CONSTITUTION:The gas in a furnace 1 produced from incinerated matter is introduced into a catalyst tank 12, passing through a pipe 15, by the sucking force of a fan 18, and is purified by oxidation while it is passing through a catalyst body 13, after being heated by a heater 14. In this case, secondary air introducing ports 16 are provided to a gas passage which introduces exhaust gas from the furnace 1 into the catalyst tank 12. Accordingly, oxygen can be taken into the exhaust gas without giving any influence to the temperature in the furnace, as in the case that large amount of primary air is introduced into the furnace, and oxidizing function of catalyst body 13 can be displayed, sufficiently. |
