PURPOSE:To restrict supercooling of a heat-accumulating material and automatize a heat- accumulating and heat-radiating cycle, by a method wherein an inorganic or organic salt is contained in a container provided with a pair of electrodes, and a circuit connecting the electrodes is provided with an automatic controlling mechanism for impressing a voltage, in a heat accumulator for a solar-heat room cooler-heater. CONSTITUTION:Water heated by the solar heat in a water tank 8 is fed into the container 1, and an inorganic or organic salt contained in the container 1 is melted through a heat exchanger 7 to accumulate heat. The water subjected to heat exchange is ciculated into the water tank 8, where it is heted, and then it is re-introduced into the container 1. At night, a cock 10 is changed over so that circulating water flows into a heat radiator 9. The heat- accumulating material in the container 1 starts to release heat, whereby the circulating water is heated through the heat exchanger 7, is fed into the radiator 9 and is used for heating. When the heat-releasing process proceeds and it is detected by a temperature detector 5 that the heat of solidification is not released due to supercooling, this condition is reported to a controller 4, which closes a switch 6 to impress a voltage between the electrodes 2. After the voltage is impressed for a several seconds, the supercooling is stopped, solidification is started, and the circulating water is heated by the heat of solidification. When the temperature of circulating water exceeds a preset temperature, the switch 6 is opened to stop the voltage- impressing operation. |
