PURPOSE:An acidic cosmetic that contains a specific amount of carboxylate soap resulting from the neutralization of a dicarboxylic acid with a basic substance, thus forming a weak-acidic protecting film on the skin, which is said to be most suitable, with safety and stability. CONSTITUTION:A carboxylate soap that is prepared by neutralizing a dicarboxylic acid of HOOC(CH2)nCOOH (n is integer of 6-12) such as suberic or azelaic acid with 30-90%, preferably 70-90%, (neutralization degree) of a basic substance such as sodium hydroxide, basic aminoacid or organic amine is added by 0.1-10.0wt% to give an acidic cosmetic. |
