PURPOSE:To prevent deformation of a valve stem upon attaching or detaching the valve by providing a guide rod for guiding a cover through which a stem of the main steam separation valve penetrates and projects, upon disassembling or assembling the cover. CONSTITUTION:When separating an upper mechanism 5 for rotating a valve body 3 through a stem 4 of the main steam separation valve, from a flange 12, a guide rod 18 is screwed to a block 13 and a bolt hole of the falnge 12 via a through hole of the cover 11. Then, after pulling out a stud bolt 19, a block 13 is slided on a yoke rod 10 and a rod 18 by a chain block 15 while supporting a cover 11 by means of chain blocks 23 and 14, to pull the cover 11 out of the stem 4. Then, after pulling out the block 13 from the upper end of the guide rod 18, the cover 11 is separated from the rod 18, thereby completing the operation. |
