PURPOSE:To use a bolt insertion hole as a water exhaust hole and simplify the structure of the titled device by communicating the lowermost bolt insertion hole among a plurality of bolt insertion holes provided in a cover blocking a casing and the surface of the water pump. CONSTITUTION:The water pump 4 provided in a cooling water passage in motorcycle is provided with an impeller 17 at one end of a driving shaft 16 driven by a crankshaft, and also with a casing 13. This casing is blocked of its opening one end of which is opened, by a cover 15 fitted by means of a plurality of bolts 141-144, and the inner part of the casing 13 is partitioned into a pump chamber R in which a suction port 6 and an exhaust port 17 are open. In the foregoing, the insertion hole 18 of the bolt 141 penetrating through the lowermost position of the cover 15 expands an opening 19 on the side of the casing 13, and a part of the insertion hole 18 communicates with the pump chamber R. When the bolt 141 is taken out, the insertion hole 18 is used as an exhaust hole for exhausting water within the pump chamber R. |
