PURPOSE:To obtain a light transmitting device where the relative position between a light transmitter and a photodetector is measured easily and accurately, by attaching the light transmitter, which radiates parallel beams of light, to a horizontally supported rotation shaft to scan vertically parallel beams of light and supporting this rotation shaft on a rotary table which is tuned horizontally to scan horizontally parallel beams of light. CONSTITUTION:The rotation of a light transmitter 3, by which reflected beams of light of the light transmitter 3 are scanned vertically, and the rotation speed and the movement pitch of a rotary table 7 by which reflected beams of light are scanned horizontally are controlled by controllers for respective motors so that oversights are not generated in irradiation of reflected beams of light at a light receiving point. When reflected beams of light of the light transmitter 3 are received by a photodetector 2, the operator of the photodetector 2 performs the remote control for the scanning motor of the light transmitter 3 by radio to stop this motor and transmits signals for moving finely both motors to adjust the direction of the light transmitter 3 so that parallel beams of light from the light transmitter 3 are made incident to the receiving part of the photodetector 2 accurately, and a scanner is fixed. |
