PURPOSE:To make easier the pressing and facing processes by a method in which a mouth piece is formed by slightly retracting the face of a ceramic disc on the main combustion chamber side from the face of a metal annular body, the mouth piece is fitted, and then the end face of the annular body of a cylinder head is machined. CONSTITUTION:A mouth piece 1 consists of a sintered ceramic disc 2 having an inclined spout hole 2A on its center and a metal annular body 3. The lower face 2B on the main combustion chamber side of the sintered ceramic disc 2 has a form retracted by a given size, and the mouth piece 1 is fitted by pressure into a concaved fitting part 6 forming the subchamber 5 of the cylinder head 4 in such a way that its lower part is partly projected. Then, to level off the lower face 4A, the cutting allowance 31 of the lower end of the metal annular body is cut off by machining. In this case, the sintered ceramic disc 2 is fixed to the metal annular body 3 in such a way that it is slightly retracted from the cutting allowance 31, whereby making easier the pressing of the mouth piece and the machining of the face after the pressing. |
