<p>The appts. utilises a single flat blade (2) having opposite ends bent at right angles. The blade lies horizontally, close to the ground, and is driven by a vertical shaft (6) electric motor. A conical housing (7) covers the blades and converges towards an outlet (9) through which the debris picked up by the fast-rotating blade is passed to a collecting sack carried on the handle of the machine and detachable for emptying. Various blade arrangements are practicable, and in some cases the ends of the blades may be drilled for lightness.</p> |
