Receiving cassette for webs of labels

A receiving cassette for webs of labels is disclosed, which is equipped for being mounted removably in a printer and a device for applying labels. The receiving cassette is mounted in the printer in order to receive a web of labels which are provided with printing by the printer. The cassette is then demounted from the printer and is mounted in the device for applying labels in order for the printed labels to be detached by said device and applied to goods. The receiving cassette is fitted with a card holder which is provided on its housing in order to hold a display card which displays information concerning the goods to which the labels are to be applied.
