PURPOSE:To improve the relative positional accuracy between a molding and a glass and at the same time make it possible to absorb the dimensional fluctuation of the glass and consequently prevent the glass from breaking by a method wherein the molding is positioned on the basis of a sealing elastic body, which is installed in a mold for partitioning a product part space, and on the other hand the glass is positioned to the molding by means of a projection, which is formed on the molding in advance. CONSTITUTION:A molding 10 is positioned to a fixed mold 1 by employing the side surface of a sealing elastic body 9 as reference surface. On the other hand, a window glass 3 is positioned on the sealing elastic body 9 and the top surface of the molding 10. At this time, the horizontal position of the window glass 3 is elastically controlled by the projection 11 of the molding. Under the above-mentioned state, the window glass 3 is pinched between the fixed mold 1 and a movable mold 7 by clamping both the molds and, after that, weatherstrip material such as resin, rubber or the like is filled from an inlet. As a result, a weatherstrip 8 having the molding 10 is integrally molded so as to join to the peripheral part of the window glass 3. The dimensional fluctuation of the window glass 3 is absorbed by a gap, which is ensured between the end face of the glass 3 and the projection 11. In addition, the dimensional fluctuation of the molding 10 is absorbed by the deflection of the sealing elastic body 9. |
