The invention relates to a motor-driven abrasive tool in cylinder form, with a layer of flexible abrasive material attached thereto, in which the abrasive layer is arranged on an inflatable rubber sleeve for adaptation to curved surfaces of workpieces. To prevent damage to the workpiece by the edge/edges of the open cylinder side(s), the inflatable sleeve is flanged around the cylinder shell at one of its ends or at both of its ends (Fig. 1). To increase the utility value, a device is provided which can be used as both a table guide and a hand guide and into which the abrasive body together with its drive machine is inserted. <IMAGE>
