Electric propulsion for water craft, in particular for underwater craft, with the use of an electrically active stator part and an electrically passive rotor part which is in a mechanically fixed connection with the screw elements. The electrically active stator part is firmly connected mechanically to a part of the vessel, while the electrically passive rotor part is mounted outside the vessel and serves to directly accommodate the screw elements.
