Liquid level sensing device

The invention relates to a liquid-level sensing device which can be arranged in a container to establish the level of a liquid in this container. The device has a variable resistance which consists of a resistance track (2), over the longitudinal extent of which a sliding contact (4) can be moved depending upon the liquid level. The resistance track (2) is connected with its one end to positive potential of a direct-current source and the sliding contact (4) to negative potential. In order to guarantee reliable operability with simple and inexpensive means, an electrode connected to positive potential is arranged in the container. <IMAGE>
