A process for preparing a new compound, racemic 3-[2-(3-t-butylamino-2-hydroxypropoxy)phenyl]-6-hydrazino-pyridazine dihydrochloride monohydrate, which is a useful antihypertensive and which can be recrystallised with consistent water content and which is stable under normal conditions of temperature and humidity.
