The drive shaft (10) has a fixed flange (12) with diametrically opposite bolt holes, while the driven shaft (18) has a similar flange. Each flange is bolted to a separate rectangular coupling frame (26) of stamped spring sheet metal and is attached to opposite corners of the frames. - The other two corners of each frame are linked to opposite corners of a middle frame. The three elastic frames provide an elastic coupling with good torque transfer and with a simple layout. The coupling is suitable for many drive transmission arrangements, including helicopter rotors. PS
