In an electronic musical instrument, the most suitable reverberation one for the selected tone colour is attached to a musical tone with a selected tone colour. In a modification, the electronic musical instrument is equipped with a multiplicity of keyboards and reverberation tones are independently attached to musical tones which are generated in accordance with the keyboards.
