A three-dimensional transfer feed device has a pair of transfer rails which extend horizontally and in parallel at a mutual distance. The transfer rails are moved back and forwards in the longitudinal direction and upwards and downwards and towards and away from one another in order to convey workpieces through a succession of processing stations. The transfer feed device comprises a pair of lifting slides for moving the transfer slides in the vertical direction, two pairs of clamping slides for moving the transfer rails in a horizontal clamping direction, each pair of clamping slides being mounted on one of the lifting slides, and a feed slide for moving the transfer rails in a horizontal longitudinal direction. A.C. servomotors are used for driving the lifting slides, the clamping slides and the feed slide. <IMAGE>
