In cooking hobs, it is known to make the display elements, which are assigned to the operating members for the individual cooking points, visible upwardly through the cooking hob surface, so that a direct perceptible connection exists between the individual cooking points and these display elements. In this connection, it was disadvantageous that these display elements were constructionally combined with the operating members or the corresponding control devices. According to the invention, separation between the display elements assigned directly to the cooking hob and the operating members for the cooking hob, which are e.g. situated on a cooker, is possible in any manner, the display elements being connected via flexible connection lines to the operating members. <IMAGE>
