<p>Method according to which the product is electromagnetically coupled with a probe comprising a plurality of coils, the one of the product or of the probe being in relative motion in relation to the other, and the changes in the eddy currents due to the flaws presented by the product are observed. The method is characterised in that: - a probe is used comprising at least four coils which are configured electronically so as to each furnish an absolute value measurement signal, - the measurement signals produced by each coil are recorded, - a linear combination Pni of the signals from at least four successive coils bi+1, bi+2, ..., bi+n in the transverse direction in relation to the relative motion between the product and the probe, is calculated according to the relation <IMAGE> in which X is a coefficient specific to each coil, and - the changes in this linear combination Pni are observed. <IMAGE></p> |
