CONSTITUTION:An effective screw part 20 of a screw shaft 17 for correcting a pitch error is put into a housing 5 of a hollow housing 4, one shaft end part 19 is key-locked to a gear 21, and the gear 21 is fixed by a bolt 25 of an annular body 9 detained to the housing 5 with a slip key 7. Subsequently, the screw shaft 17 is raised to a prescribed tempering temperature by making hot air flow through an inside space of the housing 5 from a hot air inlet 12 and an outlet 13. Subsequently, a stepped gear 22 installed to a shaft end part 18 of the other end of the screw shaft 17 is rotated by a prescribed twist correcting angle portion by driving a pinion gear 24, through a fan- shaped gear 23, and gives permanent twist deformation to the effective screw part 20. Also, when the twist deformation is within the elastic limit of the screw shaft 17, the permanent twist deformation can be given by giving a twist angle at room temperature in advance, fixing it to an annular body 8 by a bolt 26, and executing a tempering treatment.
