PURPOSE:To convey an article on a lower stage conveyer onto an upper stage conveyer while maintaining the article at to a horizontal attitude, by disposing a horizontality maintaining device consisting of a sprocket mechanism and providing said horizontality maintaining device in an end part of each stage conveyer. CONSTITUTION:If an article loading part 2 reaches an end part of each stage conveyer, both ends of one supporting lever 2b are fitted between teeth of a sprocket 4. The sprocket 4 is formed to a same diameter as a sprocket 5 in such a manner as to move synchronously with the sprocket 5, meshed with an endless chain 1 constituting the conveyer, and a chain is tensibly mounted between the both sprockets 4, 5. In consequence, the article loading part 2 is lifted while maintaining a horizontal condition, and moved to an upper stage conveyer. A fixed cam 6 prevents the supporting lever 2b from separating from the sprocket 4. |
