PURPOSE:To obtain an amorphous alloy for magnetic filter excellent in magnetism, corrosion resistance, and resistance to delayed fracture, by specifying a chemical composition consisting of Cr, B, C, Ni, and Fe. CONSTITUTION:The amorphous alloy for magnetic filter excellent in magnetism, corrosion resistance, to delayed fracture has a chemical composition consisting of, by atom, 3-10%, preferably 4%, Cr, 10-25% B+C, preferably 12% B and 4% C, Ni so that it is 3-40% and the combined total with Cr is >10-<50%, preferably 20-30%, and the balance Fe, preferably 50-60% Fe. This alloy is capable of withstanding continuous service as matrix material for magnetic filter over a long period and, moreover, it enables accomplishment of a high recovery rate of magnetic particles. |
