PURPOSE:To make it possible to provide toe-in variations to a wheel by installing a pair of control rods for a rear suspension which are laid out in both left and right directions to the car body in such a manner that a pivoting position in the center side of the car may be higher than a pivoting position on the other side. CONSTITUTION:A base 10 of a semi-trailing arm 2 in a rear suspension 1 is pivoted to a sub-frame on the front side of the car body which is laid out in left and right directions by a pivoting member 12. The rear end 11 of the arm 2 is pivoted to a carrier 4 with a vertical pin 14. The carrier 4 supports a wheel 6, while the carrier 4 is mounted to a pivot 18 in the other end of a control rod 8 pivoted to the car body in the center. A pivot 16 in the center of the rod 8 is installed in a position higher than the carrier pivot 18. With this layout, the pivot 18 extends outward during bump, which makes it possible to produce toe-in variations to the wheel 6 around the center of the pin 14. |
