When manufacturing cladding tubes of zirconium alloy for fuel rods of nuclear reactors through extrusion of the zirconium alloy and cold rollings of the extruded product as well as annealing, intermediate annealing between the cold rollings and an (α + β) quenching before the last cold rolling, a cladding tube with all good corrosion properties and mechanical properties is produced by the (α + β) quenching being performed before a cold rolling, after which there is an intermediate annealing at a temperature of 500 - 675 degrees C. |
