PURPOSE:A herbicide composition having extremely improved herbicidal spectrum and application width by synergistic action, containing a novel 4- substituted-3-pyridinecarboxamide(1-oxide) derivative and a well-known herbicide for paddy fields. CONSTITUTION:A herbicide composition containing (A) a compound shown by formula (R1 is alkyl, alkenyl, aralkyl, aryl, etc.; n is 0 or 1; R2 and R3 are alkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl, etc.; R4 is H when n=0 and R4 is H, halogen, alkyl, etc., when n=1; A is H, halogen, alkyl, etc.; Z is N or N O) and (B) at least one of 15 compounds such as (i) 2-chloro-2',6'-diethyl-N(propoxyethyl)acetanilide, (ii) S-ethyl hexahydro-(1H)azepine-1-carbothioate, (iii) 2-(2,4-dichloro-3-me thylphenoxy)propionanilide, (iv) 3,7-dichloro-8-quinolinecarboxylic acid, etc. |
