PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of maintenance for the collection of fault information by collecting the fault information to one place in a computer system provided with a service processing device. CONSTITUTION:In a computer system provided with a microprogram control type service processing device 1, system information to be collected by the service processing device 1 and system fault information stored in a magnetic device 8 and to be collected by a computer system 101 are stored in a flexible disc unit 2, the same external storage device, connected to the service processing device 1 by a program 201 operated in the computer system 101. In said constitution, the fault information is collected to one place and processed by the independent processor, the service processing device 1, separated from the body 101 of the computer. Thus the fault information can be displayed appropriately at any time when required. |
