PURPOSE:To improve the processing capacity of a magnetic disc device and reduce overhead by setting up logical addresses correspondingly to physical access means in a magnetic disc storage device to a simultaneously receive plural I/O requests. CONSTITUTION:In case of preparing a queue 4 by a program, plural (m) logical addresses are set up in every device of physical access means (n) in a magnetic disc storage device 3. Each access means receives maximum one I/O request in each logical address in parallel with other logical addresses to process the I/O requests by the most effective order. Consequently the generation of useless time is prevented and excess I/O requests and interruptions can be reduced. |
