PURPOSE:To fix surely a developed image on the surface of a recording material without disturbing it, by providing a high frequency applying means, which applies a high frequency to fix an unfixed image to an image supporting material, and an ion generating means which faces to the high frequency applying means. CONSTITUTION:A conductor 5 of the front face of a fixing body 3 and center conductors 7 of coaxial cables 2 and 21 are connected to each other, and earth conductors 71 of said coaxial cables and the conductor on the rear face of said fixing body are connected to each other, thereby constituting a high frequency applying means. A corona charger 8 consists of a shield 82, which has an aperture in the side of the fixing body 3, and a wire 81, an the surface of a recording material is charged with ions generated by corona discharge to prevent the recording material from surfacing from the front face of the fixing plate by the image force which is generated in the conductor on the front face of the fixing substrate. Thus, the developed image on the surface of the recording material is fixed surely without disturbing it. |
