PURPOSE:To prevent unreasonable operation at the time of energizing a power source by exciting each phase so that a pulse motor rotates in the prescribed direction based on the detected output from physical phase position detecting means mounted on the motor at the time of energizing the power source. CONSTITUTION:A disc 7 with a slit is mounted on a pulse motor 1, and a light source 8 and a photodetector 9 are provided at both sides of the disc 7. The output of the photodetector 9 is inputted through a buffer gate 10 to a controller 11. The controller 11 generates the each phase excitation signal of the motor 1 according to the prescribed command from a central arithmetic processing unit. Physical phase information of the motor 1 at the time of energizing the power source is inputted from the disc 7 to the controller 11 through the gate 10, thereby preparing one condition in case of producing an excitation signal based on the command from the CPU. The output of the controller 11 is applied through a latch circuit 12 to the driver transistor 13 of the motor 1. |
