PURPOSE:To fix an image well with less power consumption, by providing first and second rotating materials, a high frequency applying means which applies a high frequency across these rotating materials, and a pressurizing means which depresses first and second rotating materials. CONSTITUTION:Pressure rollers 1 and 2 are supported rotatably by supporting plates 5 and 6, which are separated into left and right parts respectively, and are provided in torsional positions for fixing rollers 3 and 4 so that these rollers 1 and 2 are brought into contact with surfaces of fixing rollers 3 and 4. Supporting plates 5 and 6 are supported axially by rotation center shafts 10, and pressurizing springs 8 surrounding bolts 9 mounted on supporting plates 5 and 6 are provided between supporting plates 5 and nuts 7, which are engaged with bolts 9, in free ends of supporting plates 5 and 6 in the side opposite to rollers 1 and 2. Microwaves are generated by a microwave generator 14 to apply a pressure to a toner and supporting plates while heating them, thereby fixing an image well with less power. |
