PURPOSE:To obtain a toner which does not contaminate a fixing roller, by using a binder consisting essentially of a resin having wide molecular weight distribution in which vinyl monomer is polymerized by using a polymerization initiator having >=2 polymerization initiating seeds in one molecule and adding a physical property modifier, etc. to this binder. CONSTITUTION:In the presence of a polymerization initiator expressed by a formula (R1 denotes H, (substd.) alkyl and acyl R2 denotes (substd.) alkyl, alkyne, acyl, allyl, tolyl, cyclohexyl and alkylester having bivalent bonding group), vinyl monomer such as styrene and (meth)acrylic acid ester is homocopolymerized or copolymerized at a proper ratio to obtain a polymer. A toner contg. physical property modifiers such as coloring agents and an offset preventing agents (polyolefin and fatty acid metallic salt, etc. and a binder consisting essentially of this polymer is manufactured. The obtained toner does not generate offset phenomena on a heating and fixing roler, etc., and it is not necessary to supply the offset preventing liquid to the fixing roller. |
