A linear bearing unit (100) has an internal bearing track rail (138) which is partially enclosed by the bearing housing (120). The track rail has four axial bearing ball grooves, two of which are above and the other two below the horizontal plane through the track rail centre. The bearing housing has matching axial bearing ball tracks. The bearing balls (143) which are not located by a ball cage, circulate in parallel, radially spaced ball grooves. Reversing elements at both ends of the linear ball tracks guide the balls in opposite directions.
