<p>Granulator for strip, joined sheets or separate pieces of material, notably plastics, consists of a milling cutter with alternate blades having smooth and serrated cutting edges, cutting against a fixed blade transverse to the movement of the material being fed in. The moving and fixed blades are replaceable, and their supports allow automatic positioning of the blades without manual adjustment. The blades are reversible and have two cutting faces symmetrical about their longitudinal axes. Used to produce rectangular or square granules of plastics, etc., of regular size. Maintenance is quicker and cheaper as no manual setting of the blades is needed; single damaged blades can be replaced; reversibility increases blade life. Their rigid supports allow blades to be thinner and cheaper.</p> |
