The joint for interconnecting 2,3 and 4 adjacent partition panels comprises an extruded element (2). The ends of the element carry flexible lips (g,h) which locate into corresponding recesses (i,j) in aluminium sections (1) attached to the edges of the panels (4). Once correctly positioned, the lips (g,h) are held apart by a strip (3) which is inserted between adjacent elements. The outer surface (e) of the element (2) is shaped as a concertina, whilst the internal surface (f) is flat and determines the length of the element.
