The window bolt (2) is a hollow round tube rod with an integral groove (14) or projection matching one or several shaped clamps (5,7) fixing different closure pieces onto the tube. The tube groove or projection can be on all or part of the tube. The clamp surrounding the tube locks onto the tube groove, via a set back mouth or throat (15) and is locked there by a nut (12), and a shouldered bolt (7), without impeding vertical down operation of the handle (6).
