<p>A system for directly painting the vectors which in combination comprises symbols (80, 82, 84, 86) on the display of a video game. Memory space dedicated to the game symbols is kept to a minimum in order to permit maximum utilization of memory for game operation. A symbol definition list (94) is employed to maintain pre-defined game symbols. The game itself only manipulates a display status list (92). A separate asynchronous logic system (96) creates the display from the two lists.</p> |
