A tobacco pipe has an attractive appearance and compact construction, and is suitable for use by women without a feeling of repugnance, and is suitable for the effective removal of nicotine and tar, permitting a visual inspection from outside of the state of nicotine and tar removal. A nicotine extractor (5), consisting of coloured material, for eliminating the nicotine and tar by means of an impact caused by the impinging of the smoke is inserted into a pipe body (1) consisting of a transparent material. When the coloured nicotine extractor (5) has become invisible from outside the pipe body (1) owing to the accumulation of nicotine and tar, the tobacco pipe is no longer serviceable and is accordingly discarded. <IMAGE>
