PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of transmission even for a local network which is capable of a high-speed transmission of data, by realizing the detection and transmission of a transmission right signal by means of hardware. CONSTITUTION:When a transmission right signal is circulated within a transmission line 100, a unit consisting of a detecting circuit 10 and a transmitting circuit 20 of the transmission right signal, a receiving path switch 40 of data, and a control circuit for these parts is put into the transmitting channel of each node 200. Then a prescribed transmission right signal train is detected out of the signal trains sent from other nodes 200. In this case, if a data transmission request or a transmission right holding request is given to the corresponding node, the switch 40 is turned off. At the same time, a data transmitting/receiving circuit 30 of the own node is started to transmit the data to other nodes. Then the circuit 20 is started if no transmission right holding request is given when the transmission of data to other nodes is over. Thus the transmission right signal is sent to other nodes, and at the same time the switch 40 is turned on. |
