The outlet has fixed slats (2) and movable slats (6). The movable slats (6) can by their gravitational force (R) move in the direction of a closed position, in which they increasingly narrow the intermediate spaces (9) which exist with the slats (6) raised. The fixed slats (2) can be pivoted by means of a servomotor (5) and a linkage (4). By means of the invention, it is brought about that the outlet cross-section (9) is automatically reduced with decreasing air quantity, without complicated regulating devices being necessary for this. As a result, even with a relatively low conveyed quantity, a relatively high air speed is maintained and thus good flushing through of the room is guaranteed. <IMAGE>
