The invention relates to a process for producing individual plastic structures, preferably for otoplasty, from rubber, in particular silicone rubber, with the aid of moulds of plaster, embedding compounds or the like, using an impression from an impression compound. The process is made up of several steps, the impression of the concha being embedded in one half of a cuvette filled with moulding compound, the impression being removed from the negative mould thus produced after adequate hardening of the moulding compound. A casting compound, temperature-dependent in terms of its viscosity, is poured in the heated, liquid state into the negative mould and is kept in the negative mould until a desired wall thickness is obtained by cooling of the casting compound. After achieving the desired wall thickness, the still pourable casting compound is removed from the negative mould and, after trimming the contour of the hardened casting compound protruding from the negative mould, the positive casting mould is produced by applying a moulding compound to the hardened casting compound. After hardening of the moulding compound, the positive mould thus produced is separated, the casting compound situated between the positive mould and negative mould is removed and the rubber for the plastic structure to be produced is introduced into the negative mould, closed off by the positive mould and brought together under a press, which exerts a predetermined pressure on the positive mould and negative mould, and is fully cured. The casting mould comprises a positive mould and a negative mould with an internal, virtually equal distance between positive mould and negative mould, which corresponds to the thickness of the plastic structure to be produced.
