PURPOSE:To display the accurate specific fuel consumption corresponding to an engine speed, by computing and displaying the specific fuel consumption based on the amount of actuation for adjusting fuel supply and the amount of fuel corresponding to the engine speed. CONSTITUTION:By the output of a wave shaping device 40 which generates pulses in response to an engine speed sensor 10, a microcomputer 70 counts and stores the engine speed N and also computes and stores a speed S through a speed sensor 20, a wave shaping device 50, and the like. The amount of pedal operation in the computer 70 is empirically determined by pedal operation sensor 30 and an A/D converter 60 in response to the amount of the pedal operation. A table, which indicates the specific fuel consumption Q per revolution, is outputted from a fuel injection device 100 in correspondence with the amount of the pedal operation and the engine speed, and the table is read out. The amount of fuel consumption xsi is computed in the computer 70, based on an expressionIwith regard to the amounts N, S, and Q. The specific fuel consumption which is varied in response to the engine speed is accurately displayed on a display 90. |
