<p>Two or more materials, at least one a liq., are continuously mixed between a stator and a rotor inside a ousing trough which pases the rotor drive shaft. Both stator and rotor have rojeting annular ribs which engage each oher's facing gaps, and these ribs are machined with transverse grooves to form rings of teeth. The grooves extending towards the housing centre intersect at a location somewhat spaced from said centre,i.e. are inclined from true radial alignment. Rotor and stator teeth all have the same height. Esp. for forming stable oil-in-water or water-in-oil emulsions. The oil droplets have a more uniform size range than with known methods.</p> |
