In a writing and/or drawing implement, in order to achieve uniform lettering or drawing by means of templates, a pen holder (18') is provided, having a sliding head (25) which can be introduced into the recess of a template character (26). The sliding head (25) is spherical, so that the inclination of a pen (21) can be selected, within a predetermined angular range in respect of its vertical direction, to suit a desired attitude or a more comfortable one that is dictated by anatomical considerations. <IMAGE>
