The current to be measured (I) in a lead 91) is branched to two leads (3, 4) comprised of the same material. Both leads have a slightly different resistance and form the primary of an active current transformer. The secondary current (i) is determined by the ratio between the resistances of both conductors (3, 4). By means of a mechanical and thermal contact of both discrete leads (3, 4), the ratio between the resistances thereof is maintained constant even when the temperature coefficients are high and during an increase of the temperatures of the leads. |
