The invention proposes a hydraulic control device (10) with a directional control valve (12) and an associated changeover valve control (14) which, with the aid of restrictors (23, 25, 30), makes possible fine control without notable pressure excesses in the fine-control range. Connected upstream of the changeover valve (14) is a third restrictor (30), which is connected in parallel with a second restrictor (25) in the feed (15) and enlarges the control pressure drop, caused by the changeover valve, as a function of the increased residual flow via the changeover valve. This leads to shallower flow characteristics (72) as a function of the spool stroke (s) of the control spool (45) and hence to better fine control. <IMAGE>
