PURPOSE:A combination of xylose and maltose colors a food product lustrous gold. CONSTITUTION:When a food product such as fish paste boiled product, bread, cake, noodles, milk beverage or lactic acid berverage is produced, xylose and maltose are combined at a weight ratio of (0.1-20, preferably 0.2-10) maltose to 1 xylose and the combination is added to the food product by 0.1-5wt%, preferably by 0.2-3wt% based on the food product. |
