PURPOSE:To eliminate possible dielectric breakdown by a method wherein a distance not smaller than a specified value is defined between conductors. CONSTITUTION:A straight line D (=1/4VhX10<-6>) indicated by a broken line in the figure is obtained by using the minimum values of straight lines K1, K2, K3 for the purpose of determining the minimum distance D between conductors free of electric discharge between the conductors. When a semiconductor device of this design is employed aboard is land vehicle, with the maximum high frequency surge voltage presumed to be 400V aboard side vehicle, dielectric breakdown due to high frequency surges can be prevented, if the distance D(d1 or d2) is set between conductors at a value not smaller than 1/4X400*10<-6>(m)=100mum. |
