So that one and the same blowing carriage can be used to clean the yarn breaks for different creels having completely different yarn guides, the air distributor of a blowing carriage equipped with a track-bound chassis and with a compressed-air source is designed as an air-distributor unit (60') which is connected to the blowing carriage (34) so as to be exchangeable in respect of the type and number of its elements and/or of the distance between these and the yarn breaks (23). The air-distributor unit (60') carries, for example, a vertical air-distributor pipe (46) which itself possesses exchangeable extension elements (62) having blow-out elements (56) fastened to them.
