PURPOSE:To measure the distance to an object accurately, by fixing light projecting and receiving elements, and comparing the signals which are continued in a time series with respect to the outputs of the received light obtained by sequentially switching light receiving elements and scanning the object. CONSTITUTION:A light emitting element IRED and the light receiving elements SPC1-4 are fixed at the rear of light projecting and receiving lenses L1 and L2 having a base line interval D, and connected to operation amplifiers OP1-4. When incident light is inputted in the SPC3, the small quantity of the light is also inputted to the elements on both sides. Then the light currents of the light receiving elements are converted into voltages. The voltages from the light receiving elements are driven by pulses SPL1-4 from an oscillator OSC in the time series. Analog switches AN1-4 are likewise controlled, circuits are changed, and scanning is performed. The signals which are continued in the time series are compared each other by specified circuits including comparators CP1 and 2, and the outputs are sent to out 1-4. Based on these outputs, judgement is performed as to in which light receiving element the light is inputted. Thus the accurate measurement can be performed. |
