The apparatus for producing connection pieces made of wood consists of two rollers which roll on one another, have on their curved surface successively arranged negatives of the connection pieces to be produced and are driven in opposite directions. A piece of wood from which the connection pieces are to be produced is inserted between the two rollers, the connection pieces being punched out through the negatives recessed in the curved surfaces of the rollers on passing through the latter. The negatives can have elevations and depressions, through which grooves and webs are created on the surfaces of the connection pieces. The webs and the grooves on both sides of the connection pieces can be arranged offset relative to one another, so that a cross-sectional profile of the pieces with an approximately constant material thickness results.
